Moses K. Suuta

 

Moses is a proficient peace advocate and development planning, monitoring and evaluation professional with over six years of experience in project management, peacebuilding, and conflict resolution in the nonprofit and public sectors of Ghana. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Development Planning from University for Development Studies, and currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana. For the past five years, Moses has worked in conflict hotspot communities in Ghana to promote gender inclusion, sustainable peace, and community development by strengthening local systems. For instance, he enhanced the capacities of stakeholders on Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) mechanisms, leading to the resolution of about 50 conflicts. Currently the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer at the West Africa Network for Peacebuilding, Ghana (WANEP-Ghana), Moses has designed and implemented M&E plans and tools, resulting in an improved project data collection, evidence-based reporting, efficient utilization of resources, changes in the approaches of project implementation, and informed decision-making in the organization.

 

Before joining WANEP-Ghana, Moses worked as a Project Supervisor with World Education Ghana under the DFID and USAID-funded program to inculcate basic literacy and numeracy skills in out-of-school children. He also advocated for the program in deprived communities, resulting in the establishment of 4 basic primary schools and 1026 learners being transitioned to formal schools. Moses has also worked as a Resource Person with the Association of Church-Based Development Projects to improve the entrepreneurial capacity of 800 rural women to access credit facilities for agricultural and small-scale businesses. Through these experiences, Moses has developed core competencies in childhood education, peacebuilding, and project management. With a strong interest in project monitoring and evaluation, Moses promotes results-based advocacy and child, youth, and community development initiatives to drive positive change and foster sustainable development in Ghana.
